About Me
I have always loved horses and as a child reread my worn copies of Misty of Chincoteague and the Black Stallion over and over. I was never able to own a horse or have consistent access, but whenever I did enjoyed it. I read as many books about horses as I could find. It didn't matter if they were fiction, nonfiction, or breed books: I devoured them. I had the usual plethora of Made-In-China rubber horses and Grand Champions that seem to be behind most Breyer collections. They were all well loved and several favorites still live in a storage box in my basement. When I was ten my grandparents gave me my first Breyer: one of the Dapples line. It included a full Breyer box catalogue and I wore that thing out looking at the horses. Next Christmas there were three of the Classic scale models under the tree, and an obsession was born.
I made barns and tack and all sorts of things for my horses. None of them very pretty, but all lots of fun. At 16 I discovered the hobby and started to get interested in photoshowing. This lead to attempting my own tack, and I sold my first set in November 2006. I've improved a great deal since then, and my tack has helped win championships in the US, NAN Top Tens, and performance championships in Germany and the UK.
